Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 benchmarks are now available thanks to Samsung testing the Galaxy S8 smartphone that is slated for its official launch next week. Infact, the company behind this awesome Snapdragon 835 processor invited people from anandtech to have a look at this processor on a reference android phone running Snapdragon 835. This very phone was running a phone with 5.5″ with 2560×1440 pixel resolution, 6GB RAM and 2850 mAh battry.
Snapdragon 835 benchmarks indicate that this is the fastest chip from Qualcomm till date. However, it is yet to be seen what the real world usage will look like because we are pretty sure that the Samsung’s touchwiz UI will bog down the performance quite a bit.
For those who do not know about it, the Snapdragon 835 is a octa core processor and has higher clock speeds than the outgoing Snapdragon 821 which the company’s current flagship CPU. The new processor is being accompanied by Adreno 540 GPU and Snapdragon X16 LTE modem that will boost your download speeds to upto 1Gbps, in theory atleast.
Snapdragon 835 will also be the first processor in world that will be made using 10nm process. Right now, Intel makes kabylake processors using 14nm manufacturing process. In Snapdragon 835 benchmarks, it will score better than Snapdragon 820, 821 and Krin 960 CPU in all single core tests. It does better in multi core tests as well.
Snapdragon 835 benchmarks were done using Geekbench, GFXBench, AnTuTu, PCMark, and 3DMark. Interestingly, the latest iPhone still blow away Snapdragon 835 in majority of tests. The iOS is still more efficient than android.
