The virtual reality is on everyone ‘s lips lovers hardware in recent times, and manufacturers are rushing to introduce their products VR Ready for users interested in this business. MSI has its first team “certification” (internal) for virtual reality systems, the MSI WT72 of which I speak in today.
Basically what MSI has done has been to update one of its laptop models aimed at professional CAD design and adapt to new requirements with virtual reality systems to create the WT72. This is a team that has a graphics card NVIDIA Quadro M5500, Intel Core i7 or Xeon sixth generation and up to 64 GB of RAM DDR4 memory, so performance you will not miss with this combination of hardware.
The biggest innovation is the inclusion of the new NVIDIA Quadro graphics M5500, a GPU that provides 35% more performance than the previous generation. Andy Tung, MSI CEO of America said about it that “The MSI WT72 with NVIDIA Quadro M5500 is the world ‘s first notebook that can literally with any task, including graphic design and virtual reality systems.”
To enhance the multimedia experience, MSI has integrated into the WT72 the Dynaudio sound technology, in this case with an audio optimizer Nahimic. They have also introduced new panels Ultra HD 17.3 inch True Color technology with Adobe RGB certification, SteelSeries backlit keyboard, and USB connectivity Thunderbolt 3 and 3.1. As you can see, MSI has taken its professional teams and has integrated them some of the characteristics of their equipment Gaming to create the new WT72. These are its characteristics such as we announced the manufacturer.
At the moment it is unknown when this new team will come to market and price, although seen your hardware can expect prices not suitable for many pockets (we speak of more than 4,000 euros a good insurance).
With regard to the technical characteristics, the new MSI X99A Godlike Carbon Edition is the same as the first version that the manufacturer launched long except now incorporates a USB 3.1 controller that adds two Type-A and Type-C ports on the panel rear connector plate.
Removing this data, the plate is equal in terms of technical features, but you have completely changed the aesthetics because now all the PCB is black and has been added ELD RGB lighting configurable by the user.
Therefore we are facing the most advanced base MSI motherboard compatible with Intel socket LGA 2011-3 and based on the Intel X99 chipset, compatible with DDR4 RAM memory.
Manufacturer incorporates unique features such as Mystic Light (allowing control lighting from an application on the smartphone), network card Killer DoubleShot X3-Pro (which includes dual-band WiFi) connectivity Turbo M.2, five PCI-Express 3.0 10 SATA 6 Gbps (SATA 3) and even a SATA Express connector, so the MSI X99A Godlike Carbon Edition has everything you could possibly need in our high-end system.
In addition, this motherboard MSI gives (as you can see in the picture above) a USB stick 3.1 Type-C High speed, although they have not said what capacity has (presumably be as little 64GB). MSI has not said when will we see this new plate Carbon Edition in stores or at what price, but considering that it is the top end of the company can expect it to be quite expensive.
On the other hand, MSI will soon present other plates with this new styling Carbon Edition, but have not revealed approximate dates for this.
On the thirtieth anniversary of MSI as a manufacturer of motherboards, it has released a new top-end motherboard for socket LGA115, the MSI Z170A Krait Gaming X3 . The new motherboard has four slots DDR4 RAM and features a SATA Express connector and another connector NVMe to cover all storage options that want to install it without fear users that are becoming obsolete.
The new motherboard MSI Z170A Krait Gaming x3 has the white color scheme and distinctive black of the Krait family base MSI plates with bright white applied to heat sinks and ports, contrasting with the PCB black and touches of red reminiscent of the origins “Gaming” family. Leaving these details aside, the MSI Z170A Krait Gaming 3X is a new offering in the segment of equipment where premium performance and is designed and manufactured using the ATX form factor that allows maximum scalability in terms of components internal refers to this type of computers.
The MSI Z170A Krait Gaming X3 gets the energy for operation of two power connectors, one main 24-pin and one 8-pin power EPS, apart from employing a VRM 7 phases in charge of conditioning energy for for processing coils which employs high capacity “Titanium”.
The LGA1151 socket is connected to four DIMM slots DDR4 memory with a maximum speed of DDR4-3600 supported, which have been configured to use the dual-channel and two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots. The remaining expansion slots of the plate include a third slot PCIe 3.0 x16 (electrical connection with x4) which is connected to the Z170 PCH, and four PCIe 3.0 x1 slots other.
Storage connectivity includes an M.2 slot with a data transmission capacity of 32 Gb / s, a SATA-Express port 16 Gb / s capacity and six SATA3 ports 6 Gb / s. The integrated audio card with a Audio Boost ditch solution that provides dual headphone amplifiers, specific capacitors for audio applications, degree of isolation layer of soil, Nahimic Audio Enhancer and 115 dBA SNR CODEC. The network architecture is performed by a controller Intel I219-V GbE. Modern connectivity includes two USB 3.1 ports (one each of type A and type C on the rear panel) and six USB 3.0 ports.
MSI has announced a new member to its family of motherboards Gaming , in this case with micro ATX format . This is the new MSI Gaming Pro B150M a board based on the Intel B150 chipset supports all the latest processors Intel Core sixth generation with LGA1151 socket. MSI Gaming Pro B150M review.
Lately almost all hardware manufacturers (and not only plates) are tending to the small form factor, because they are teams with low consumption, low noise and take up little space and yet are able to deliver a great performance. For this reason it is common to see manufacturers like MSI launch new models of motherboards in small format (in this case medium) specifically designed for Gaming.
Among the features that make this new MSI board games designed specifically to meet the DDR4 Boost technology, which provides maximum performance and stability while providing great compatibility with almost any market DDR4 memory. It also has Audio Boost technologies and LAN Gaming already know too well with this manufacturer, plus of course the audio circuit isolated from other components.
B150M MSI Gaming Pro also stands out for its aesthetics. With the usual black finish and red colors of MSI, plate stands out for its integrated red that will stand inside the equipment side window systems with LED lighting. In addition, the RJ-45 connector for LAN LED lighting has to have it in sight when we go to the back of the box.
MSI has announced the upcoming launch of this new motherboard but has not said arrival to the shops or the price at which it will. Yes you said that together with the plate will give a mouse MSI DS Gaming B1 will come included in the box of the plate itself.
MSI GS40 Phantom is a 14 inch laptop packing latest technologies. MSI GS40 Phantom specs include an Intel Core i7-6700HQ sixth generation processor, high-end processor that perhaps is a bit too much for games but MSI has wanted to be on the safe side so we have no problem. Along with this, the Phantom GS40 has a dedicated graphics card called the MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M, 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 256GB M.2 (SATA) SSD and additionally a 2.5-inch 1TB mechanical hard drive.
MSI GS40 Phantom comes with 14-inch full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and speaking of the display, MSI has used special thin components that keeps the overall profile very thin and compact. Thanks to its dual independent cooling system, the GPU and CPU will not suffer from overheating problems.
On the connectivity side, you get two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.1 Type-C reversible connector, card reader, webcam and even Full HD HDMI output to connect to an external monitor.

MSI has announced the launch of a new special edition of the GeForce GTX 980 Ti from NVIDIA, which is the current top model of the company. The MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Golden Edition is a special variant with a copper sink, offering maximum heat dissipation and of course, since it is dressed in gold, it lives up to its name.
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Golden Edition: The Review
The fully integrated heat sink made of copper has several advantages and some disadvantages. Typically, the copper heat pipes and these are being welded or somehow grip block of aluminum foils, which is a good transmitter of heat but not as good as copper. Using a sink made entirely of copper allows one to do soldering better and therefore, the heat dissipation is more uniform and efficient and greatly reducing the overall temperature of the device.
The drawbacks are obvious: the copper is heavier than aluminum and therefore, the final product is heavy. For instance, this GPU weighs 1,338 grams and non-copper model weighs 1,068 grams. Also, the copper is far more expensive, so integrating a heat sink made entirely of copper significantly increases the costing and therefore, sale price of the graphics card in higher than the aluminum one.
In addition to what has been said, this MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Golden Edition integrates a wide black back plate with the MSI Gaming dragon orange that covers the entire back of the PCB and also improves the aesthetics of the graphic card. On the opposite side, it incorporates two cooling fans responsible for cooling down the whole sink.
Finally, we are told that MSI has always used the best Military Class components to provide this GPU better stability and performance. It is factory overclocked and MSI has raised the operating speed of the core to the 1291 Mhz compared to 1279 Mhz reference version and 7096 MHz memory (GDDR5 effective) compared to 7010 Mhz stock.
So far MSI has not announced pricing or availability of this new graphic card but it kind of Limited Edition, so expect it to be very, very expensive.
MSI Gaming Z170A M7 is the first company motherboard that makes use of Intel Z170 chipset and Skylake platform. There are two major sinks on it – one to cool the chipset and VRM and second to cool down components around the processor socket.
The MSI Gaming Z170A M7 specifications include features such as three PCI-Express 3.0 that will support 3-way SLI / CrossFireX configurations, two SATA-Express, two sockets M 2 (do not know if linked to the SATA or PCI-Express interface), audio boost technology that is isolated from the rest circuit to prevent interference.
You also get the Gigabit Killer E2400 network card. MSI Gaming Z170A M7 has integrated four sockets that support speeds up to DDR4-2133 MHz standard. In the photos we fail to see clearly the VRM so do not know how it has enhanced overclocking but we do see that it has three dedicated buttons (Power, reset, and a red button for overclocking).
On the back of MSI Gaming Z170A M7, you will find three USB 2.0, three USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C, two HDMI, a DisplayPort, Gigabit RJ-45 connectors and audio 7.1 SP / DIF. At the moment it is not known when this board will be released so it would be stupidity to say anything about its price tag.
