Intel has announced the launch of its first complete NUC Gaming oriented system. Intel codenamed NUC6i7KYK, the NUC has a considerably larger size than its predecessors and is equipped with a processor Intel Core i7-6770HQ based architecture Skylake , although Intel has christened as a NUC Skull Canyon. Let’s start talking about the design, it is what we have found most striking. As you can see in the pictures of this article, the NUC6i7KYK has a size that is approximately twice as common in NUC Intel systems. Thanks to this, not only can install various additional storage options, but the manufacturer has been able to install a far more potent than with the rest of NUCs, cooling system since the installed processor has a TDP of 45 watts, considerably higher than what Intel had been using so far in their mini PCs and therefore need better cooling.
Turning to the field of hardware, this new Intel NUC seems to have enough muscle to move without too much trouble any game at resolutions 720p, and even many titles in full HD resolution. Yes, since Intel has been involved in the development of XConnect technology , it seems clear that this equipment has been designed with this in mind since among other things incorporates a port Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps) that would allow the use of external GPUs with devices like Razer Core.
As we noted above has an Intel Core i7-6770HQ processor, equipped with four physical cores and 8 processing threads (thanks to hyper threading technology) operating at a base of 2.6 Ghz and 3.5 Ghz turbo up to speed. This processor features 6MB of L3 cache, 128 MB of cache L4 and is accompanied by Intel Iris Pro 580 graphics with 576 cores running at 950 Mhz, 72 TMUs and 9 ROPs, more than enough for most games resolution sub- 1080p.
Intel will sell this new NUC in barebones version and full version with different hardware configurations. For example, the barebones version (diskless or RAM) will be priced at $ 650 (very cheap if we consider only the processor and costs $ 435 in OEM), and a full version with 16 GB of RAM DDR4-2133 mhz and 256 GB SSD with Windows 10 preinstalled cost $ 999.
The Zotac Magnus EN980 is a manufacturer of high-end solution. Carved at the fair, she manages to nest high performance components: Intel Core Skylake processor and graphics chipset Nvidia GeForce GTX980.

The rest of the connector will be just as generous with the USB 3.0 and USB 3.1 Type-C, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, 802.11ac WiFi and the usual myriad of connectors that the brand never fails to implant.

If the price is not stratospheric, that Magnus EN980 is likely to be monitored.
Shuttle DH170 is a mini PC from popular German computer manufacture. Powered by the new Intel Skylake platform, it is only measures 43 mm in thickness, thus ideal to be placed in small spaces and even the VESA attachment of a monitor.
Has said Tom Seiffert, head of marketing and public relations Shuttle, “This type of box is ideal for all situations, including those where environmental or space are not the best conditions for a PC, but still needed have a team that provides good computing power.”
Shuttle DH170 is barebones which means that the user must install the hard disk and RAM on your own. So you will not be able to use it straight out of the box. Acer has introduced two new desktop PCs with Windows 10. One is Acer U5-710 and second is Acer M1-601. First is an all in one computer and is only 37mm thick. Acer U5-710 specifications include Intel Core i7 and i5 processors based on new Intel Skylake platform, Nvidia GeForce graphics card, up to 16GB RAM, essential ports (HDMI I / O, DC Jack, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and 2 x USB 3.0, TV tuner) organized at the back. On the other hand, Acer M1-601 is a small PC that is based on the concept where the user can customize his PC without having to open it. This is done using the blocks concept where each blocks adds a certain functionality.
For instance, there is a block that adds 500GB hard disk, there is one for wireless charging and so on.
The Acer M1-601 specifications include Intel Pentium or Celeron processor with Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 8GB DDR4 RAM and a volume of 125 x 125 mm.
Asus has announced a revamped version of its famous full desktop system, ROG G11. It is now equipped with Intel Skylake six generation processor and latest Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 graphics, DDR4 RAM and PCI M.2 Express SSD. Asus ROG G11 Specifications are given below.

Gigabyte has announced Gaming 3 H170 D3 motherboard for users who were looking for a board that supported the new Intel Skylake platform and at the same time, have limited budget. Gigabyte is the first manufacturer that launched Intel LGA1151 socket with DDR3 controller. The Skylake platform supports DDR3 and DDR4 interchangeably, allowing the motherboard manufacture to decide the type of memory controller. Gigabyte Gaming 3 H170 D3 Specifications say that it has DDR3 controller in order to keep the overall costs low.
This means that the people buying the Gigabyte Gaming 3 H170 D3 should not go for the DDR4 RAMs as they simply would not work with it. It requires a 24-pin connector and 8-pin EPS power supply to operate. It employs a VRM power phases to provide to the processor, which is linked to four DDR3 memory sockets and PCI-Express 3.0 x16 socket.
Speaking of expansion slots, Gigabyte Gaming 3 H170 D3 Specifications include one PCI-Express 3.0 x16 x4 that is electrically linked to PCH, two PCI-Express 3.0 x1 and two PCI “legacy”. MSI Gaming Z170A M7 is the first company motherboard that makes use of Intel Z170 chipset and Skylake platform. There are two major sinks on it – one to cool the chipset and VRM and second to cool down components around the processor socket.
The MSI Gaming Z170A M7 specifications include features such as three PCI-Express 3.0 that will support 3-way SLI / CrossFireX configurations, two SATA-Express, two sockets M 2 (do not know if linked to the SATA or PCI-Express interface), audio boost technology that is isolated from the rest circuit to prevent interference.
You also get the Gigabit Killer E2400 network card. MSI Gaming Z170A M7 has integrated four sockets that support speeds up to DDR4-2133 MHz standard. In the photos we fail to see clearly the VRM so do not know how it has enhanced overclocking but we do see that it has three dedicated buttons (Power, reset, and a red button for overclocking).
On the back of MSI Gaming Z170A M7, you will find three USB 2.0, three USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Type-C, two HDMI, a DisplayPort, Gigabit RJ-45 connectors and audio 7.1 SP / DIF. At the moment it is not known when this board will be released so it would be stupidity to say anything about its price tag.
Gigabyte Intel Z170 based chipset has been made available in the market. So much hype surrounds this chipset as it is based on Intel Skylake platform. This includes three models, GA-Gigabyte Z170X Gaming G1, GA-Z170X Gaming 7 Z170X and GA Z170X Gaming 3.
All three come with Gigabyte Q-Flash Plus that allows users to update the BIOS without having a processor or RAM installed. Just copy the BIOS on a USB flash drive and the motherboard will flash the updated BIOS.
Moreover, Gigabyte has decided to change the shape and brand their VRM. Also in the G1.Killer model, you will find a new arrangement of the board sinks with option to integrate a custom liquid cooling system. Another interesting feature is the inclusion of what Gigabyte has called Turbo V-Clock Tuning IC. Overclocking fans will find it much easier to increase the operating frequency of the processor installed in these chipsets.
Also, in some models they have integrated some physical buttons to perform overclocking without having to enter the BIOS.
